## Summary
Notes about the [EPLZON DC 5V-36V 15A 400W MOSFET Transistor Trigger Switch Drive Module](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09LLR675M) available on Amazon.
## Notes
The article [Dual MOSFET Switch Module – WORTH IT OR NOT? - Codrey Electronics][1] describes the board and it's strengths and shortcomings.
The circuit diagram is shown here:

The board has two [AOD4184A MOSFET's][2] in parallel.
Key points to note:
1. The switch is triggered from the J1 pin and grounded on the J4 pin
2. Power flows through VIN+ to VOUT+ then is actually switched between VOUT- and VIN-
3. Adding the [flyback diode][3] is important for solenoids to prolong the life of the switch
4. It would be a good board to re-design our own version of to include the 2 resistors and the flyback diode that he mentions in the article
>If you use a standard MOSFET, a 3.3V gate signal won't open the "channel" completely. This causes the MOSFET to have a high R_DS(on), meaning it will heat up rapidly, limit the amount of current your load can draw, and potentially burn out.

We could increase the 3.3V input signal to 5V using an NPM transistor, as in this circuit:
